Sunyata Center
Sunyata and SIU
Located across the street from Southern Illinois University, Sunyata is part of the University Community. The SIU Buddhist Fellowship is a registered student organization. Every year, with the help of SIU Buddhist students, the Center is able to host Buddhist speakers from around the world. We have welcomed Chan Buddhist nuns and monks from Dharma Drum Monastery in New York and in 2010 we welcomed Kilung Jigme Rinpoche from Tibet.
